
RANGPUR, March 17, 2022 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested
two presumed drug traders with phensedyl from Ershadnagar area in the city
under Tajaht police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) on
Wednesday night.
"On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 set up a check post at
Ershadnagar area, searched a stone-laden truck and arrested them with 296
bottles of phensedyl, 430 cubic feet of stones and the truck from their
possessions," a press release said today.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Moksedul Haque, 24, and Md.
Mizanur Rahman, 25, of Kurigram district.
During primary interrogation, the arrested persons admitted that they
had been involved in trading drugs in connivance with their other cohorts for
a long time.
After filing a case in this connection, the elite force handed them over
to Tajhat police station of RpMP today.
"Further investigation continues to nab other absconding cohorts of the
arrested persons," the release added.
