RANGPUR, March 2, 2022 (BSS) - A mobile court sentenced seven drug addicts
to three-day jail terms each without labor and fined each of them Taka 100 in
Mithapukur upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

  Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Mithapukur upazila and Executive
Magistrate Mahmud Hasan Mridha led the mobile court.

  Officials of the District Department of Narcotics Control and police
personnel of Mithapukur police station extended assistance in conducting the
mobile court.

  The court caught the seven addicts red-handed while taking various kinds of
drugs and seized narcotics substances from their possessions.

  The convicts are: Majibar Rahman, 40, Mamun Mina, 29, Taher Mian, 60,
Ranjeet Ranwar, 35, Raj Kumar, 30, Manjil Mian, 36, and Nurul Amin,33, of
different villages in Mithapukur upazila.
