JAMALPUR, Feb 28, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) backed panel won 13 posts
including General Secretary in the district bar association elections held on
Sunday.

  BNP backed panel got just two posts that included president and auditor.

   Advocate Md Golam Nabi was elected president by one vote margin getting
169 votes while his closest opponent candidate Nazrul Islam got 168 votes.

  Advocate Md Ismat Pasha was elected general secretary bagging 190 votes as
his rival candidate Advocate Md Manjurul Kader Babul Khan got 147 votes.

   The other office bearers are: Vice-presidents - Md Altafur Rahman, and Md
Ismail Hssain, Joint secretaries - Md Nural Amin and Md Samsuzzuha Ismail,
Library and Literary Secretary Manjurul Ahsan Roni, Cultural and Sports
secretary Md Kamrul Hassan Moni, auditor Rishad Rezwan Babu and members - AHM
Badruddoza Zami, Md Abdul Al Masum Sumon, Md Ashraful Hossain Sohag, Md
Mozammel Hossain, Masuda Khan Mazlis Taniya and Md Shamim Hossain.
