BAGERHAT, Feb 10, 2022 (BSS) – Family members of six slain fishermen in Kachua upazila of the district were provided with financial assistance today.

Kachua upazila Parishad Chairman Nazma Sarwar distributed the financial assistance and foods in a function held in Baga primary school playground in the upazila this afternoon.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zinat Mahal, Upazila AL President Principal Siful Islam, AL leader Sikder Kamrul Hasan and Vice Chairman Selim Reza were present among others.

Each family got Tk 30000 along with foods.

The six fishermen died after a trawler capsized in the Bay of Bengal a few days ago.
