GAIBANDHA, Sept 1, 2026 (BSS) - Two motorcyclists were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Shiyalgara under Gobindaganj upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were identified as Limon Mia, son of Nazrul Islam of Pachgachhi village and Rubel Mia, son of Shaheen Mia of Chandpara in Gobindaganj upazila.

The accident occurred on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway when two motorcycles collided head-on after the riders lost control of the bikes. Both riders sustained serious injuries in the accident.

They were rushed to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex where they received primary treatment before being referred to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura. Both succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment there.

Officer-in-Charge of Gobindaganj Police Station Mohammad Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter.
