“Cattle Special Train” service starts July 17 from C'nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 9, 2021 (BSS) - Ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, the “Cattle Special Train” service, an initiative of Bangladesh Railway (BR) to carry sacrificial animals, will start on July 17 from Chapainawabganj district.

According to the BR, due to the ongoing corona pandemic situation, this train service will be operated on July 17, 18 and 19.

As part of the effort, the special train service will depart from Chapainawabganj railway station at 4.30 pm everyday for the three days, sources said.

Additional coaches would be added to the currently plying Mango Special Train, they added.

Station Master of Chapainawabganj railway station Md. Obaidullah said primarily, the cost for transporting each cow has been fixed at Tk.592.

He added that starting from Chapainawabganj, the special train would halt at Kakanhat, Rajshahi, Bangabandhu Bridge West, Joydevpur, Tongi, Tejgaon and at last Kamlapur railway stations.
