NATORE, Aug 22, 2026 (BSS) - The construction of the academic-cum-administrative building of the Primary Teachers' Training Institute (PTI) in Natore has been completed at a cost of Taka 23 crore.
The educational and training activities have already begun in the newly constructed facility.
The modern five-storey building features five classrooms, two training rooms, two IT labs, office rooms, a teachers' room, a conference room and a 100-seat air-conditioned auditorium. It also has separate prayer rooms for men and women, a cafeteria, guest rooms and wash blocks.
Executive Engineer of the Natore district office of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Md Iqbal Hossain told BSS that the building was handed over to the authorities upon completion.
He said the facility would play an important role in expanding technology-based education.
PTI Superintendent M H M Ruhul Amin said although construction of similar facilities has begun in different parts of the country, Natore is the only district where construction of such a facility has already been completed.
He said the building has been fully operational since last month, with educational and training activities being conducted there.
The newly constructed facility will contribute to improving the quality of primary education through enhanced education and training programmes, he added.
