RAJSHAHI, August 21, 2026 (BSS) - The 'Deputy Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament-2026', Rajshahi, is starting tomorrow.
 
On this occasion, the jersey of the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) team was unveiled and distributed among the players.

This afternoon, at the District Muktijuddho  Smriti Stadium, the RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton unveiled the team's jersey and distributed jerseys among the players.
At that time, he announced the name of Nehal as the captain of the Rajshahi City Corporation team.
 
On the occasion, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken various important steps to establish sports as a profession and has been encouraging and inspiring the players.
To engage the younger generation in sports, he has launched the 'Notun Kuri' sports program.

The RCC Administrator further said at the time that Rajshahi City Corporation is working for the development of sports in Rajshahi.
In the future, the Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Gold Cup Tournament will be organized.
 
At that time, the RCC Administrator called upon the players to participate in the tournament with discipline and skill and wished for the overall success of the team.
 
Present at the time were Member Secretary of the RCC team Committee Aslam Sarkar, Team Coach Shyamal Parvez Shimul, Member Secretary of Shah Makhdum Thana BNP Nasim Khan, Member Secretary of Chandrima Thana BNP Monirul Islam Jony and others.
 
It is mentionable that the 'Deputy Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament-2026' is being organized by the District Administration and District Sports Association, Rajshahi. 
A total of 10 teams, including the Rajshahi City Corporation team, will participate in the tournament.
