DINAJPUR, Aug 18, 2026 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today provided certificates and electrical tools to 15 unemployed youths from border areas of Dinajpur after completing a four-week basic electrical house wiring training course.
The training was organised by the BGB’s Phulbari Battalion (29 BGB) at the Youth Development Training Centre under Eluari Union Parishad in Phulbari Upazila here, said a press release this afternoon.
The course began on July 26 with the aim of developing the skills of unemployed youths and creating opportunities for self-employment.
BGB Dinajpur Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Faisal Hasan Khan attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and distributed certificates and necessary electrical tools among the trainees.
In his speech, he said BGB is committed to strengthening trust with border communities alongside ensuring border security and combating smuggling, drugs, human trafficking and arms trafficking.
