RAJSHAHI, Jan 26, 2022 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an anti-crime drive arrested an alleged drug peddler with 600 grams of heroin from Tanore upazila of the district yesterday evening.

RAB sources said the arrested person was identified as Ratul Islam, 34, son of late Khalil Mollah of Dhorsha village under Mohanpur Upazila in the district.
 
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Kaliganj Bazar area under Tanore Upazila at around 6.50 pm and arrested him with the heroin, the sources added.

Later, the arrested persons along with the seized heroin were handed over to the police this morning.

A case was recorded with Tanore Police Station in this connection.
