RAJSHAHI, July 1, 2026 (BSS): A 'Training of Trainers on Occupational Health and Safety' workshop concluded here on Tuesday with a call for developing skilled human resources to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
The National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety Research and Training organised the five-day training programme at its conference room in Terokhada area of Rajshahi city.
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton attended the event as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the trainees.
Speaking on the event RCC administrator said that such training programmes would play an important role in ensuring occupational health and safety, improving the overall work environment in the country and developing a skilled workforce.
"A safe workplace increases productivity and contributes positively to the national economy," he said.
The closing and certificate distribution ceremony was presided over by Md. Bulbul Ahmed, Joint Inspector General of the National Institute of Research and Training on Occupational Health and Safety.
Senior officials of the concerned organisation, trainers and trainees attended the event.
