PANCHAGARH, May 19, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad today said that people will build resistance against land grabbers. 

“Because while one individual benefits from land grabbing, the public suffers,” he said after inaugurating a three-day land services fair organized by the district administration at the Panchagarh Collectorate premises here.

The state minister said, "We want to recover any grabbed land, because grabbed land is the people's asset. 

The deed belongs to whomever, the papers belong to whomever, and the land belongs to that person.

The current government is working with the utmost priority regarding land. Students have been included here. 

They will also learn from this. After all, they are the ones who will play leading role in the future."

Later, Farhad Hossain Azad visited nine stalls at the fair and advised on providing land services to attendees in an easier manner.

Panchagarh District Administrator Mosa. Shukria Parvin, Acting Superintendent of Police Sifat-e-Rabbani, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Panchagarh Judge Court Public Prosecutor Advocate Mirza Nazmul Islam Kajol, and District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Professor Iqbal Hossain were present during the visit.
 
Earlier, he participated in a land services rally organized by the district administration. 

He then inaugurated the land services fair by cutting a ribbon and releasing balloons and pigeons.
