PIROJPUR, May 18, 2026 (BSS) - Financial aid and hygiene support were distributed among traders affected by the recent fire incident at Shariktala Bazar in Sadar upazila here today.

Under the initiative of the Pirojpur Zilla Parishad, each of the 17 affected traders received a cash donation cheque worth Taka 10,000 along with hygiene parcels at a programme held at Shariktala Bazar in the morning.

Administrator of the Pirojpur Zilla Parishad and BNP National Executive Committee Member Principal Alamgir Hossain attended the event as the chief guest.

The programme was presided over by Shahnaz Parveen, panel chairman of Shariktala Union Parishad.

Among the special guests were Md. Hemayet Uddin Bepari and Md. Morshed Kamal.

Local dignitaries, political leaders, and traders of the market were also present at the programme.
