HABIGANJ, May 17, 2026 (BSS) - A father and his son were killed in a road accident on the Dhuliakhal Bypass road in Sadar upazila here last night.

The deceased were identified as Qayum Mia, 50, and his son Zakir Mia, 25, residents of Sultan Mahmudpur area in Sadar upazila. 

The accident occurred around 9 pm when a motorcycle hit a standing truck parked on the roadside, leaving motorcycle riders Qayum Mia and his son Zakir Mia injured critically.

They were taken to Habiganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared them dead.

Habiganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zahidul Haque confirmed the matter.
