KHULNA, May 17, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested an alleged criminal along with illegal firearms and explosives during a raid in Rautora village under Sadarupazila of Magura on Saturday night, said a RAB-6 press release today.

Based on secret information, a team of RAB-6, CPC-2 Jhenaidah Camp, conducted a drive in front of Giridari Ashram at Rautra village and arrested Md Naim, 35, son of Sultan Biswas, a resident of the area.

The elite force recovered two locally made one-shooter guns, four cocktails, two shotgun lead cartridges and four sickles from his possession during the drive.

Later, the arrested accused, along with the seized items, were handed over to Magura sadar Police station after filing a regular case under the Arms and Explosives Acts.

Squadron Leader Emamim Mubin Sarkar Sumon, Company Commander of RAB-6 CPC-2 Jhenaidah Camp, said RAB's ongoing drives against listed criminals, convicted fugitives, warrant-listed accused, illegal arms and drug traders, as well as criminals involved in sensational murder and rape cases, would continue.
