95.87 pc Covid-19 patients recover in Khulna division

   KHULNA, Jan 14, 2022 (BSS) - Due to the upward trend of daily coronavirus

(COVID-19) infections and no more fatalities today, the recovery rate also
rises and currently 95.87 percent in Khulna division.

  "A total of 1,09,257 Covid-19 patients healed, with 81 new cases, in the
past 24 hours till this morning. Out of the total 113,962 infected patients
in the division, the recovery rate is 95.87 percent," Divisional Director
(Health) in Khulna division Dr. Monjurul Murshid told BSS today.

   Among the total 1,09,257 cured patients, 27,219 in Khulna, 21,359 in
Jashore,18074 in Kushtia, 8,746 in Jhenaidah, 6931 in Bagerhat, 6,794 in
Satkhira, 6,732 in Chuadanga, 4,876 in Narail, 4,458 in Meherpur and 4068 in
Magura districts.

   Health officials said the total infected patients climbed to 1,13,962 as
81 new people were reported positive after testing 396 collected samples at
three Covid-19 Laboratories in the division during the period.

   Of the newly detected 81 Covid-19 patients, 25 in Jashore, 18 in Kushtia,
15 in Jhenidah, 13 in Khulna, seven in Narail, two in Magura and one in
Satkhira districts in the division.

   The district-wise break-up of the total patients now stands at 28,080 in
Khulna, 22,030 in Jashore, 18,947 in Kushtia, 9,636 in Jhenaidah, 7,082 in
Bagerhat, 6,970 in Chuadanga, 7,261 in Satkhira, 5,013 in Narail, 4,782 in
Meherpur and 4,161 in Magura.

   "Among the total 1,13,962 coronavirus infected people, 18,318 are
undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals as 1,15,002
have recovered and 3,195 died while the rest are undergoing treatment in
isolation at their respective homes in the division," Dr. Ferdousi said.

   The total number of fatalities now stands still at 3,195 in the division
while no more Covid-19 related death was reported during the past 24 hours.

  "The district-wise break-up of the total fatalities are 809 in Khulna, 786
in Kushtia, 517 in Jashore, 267 in Jhenidah, 189 in Chuadanga, 183 in
Meherpur, 145 in Bagerhat, 121 in Narail, 90 in Magura and 88 in Satkhira in
the division."
