MADARIPUR, May 13, 2026 (BSS) - A housewife died after being electrocuted in the Charshamail area of Shibchar municipality of the district this morning.

The deceased Shirina Begum, 35, was wife of Alamgir Dhali, a resident of the same area.

Shirina came in contact with an electric line around 10am while she was starting a water pump.

Her family members immediately rushed her to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex where the on duty doctor pronounced her dead.
Shibchar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Manjurul Morshed confirmed the incident.
