FENI, May 12, 2026 (BSS) - A father and his son were killed and another person was injured in a road accident in Lemuya Hafezia area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nurul Alam, 46, son of Md. Nurul Huda, and his son Mohammad Nirab, 25, residents of Rajapur village near Baktar Munshi Bazar in Sonagazi upazila of the district. Nurul Alam worked as an ambulance driver at Feni Diabetic Hospital.

According to eyewitnesses and family members, Nurul Alam was returning to his sister's house in Lemuya with his son after completing his night duty. They were travelling on a motorcycle when it collided with a bus that was making a U-turn on the highway.

Locals rushed to the scene and took the injured to Feni General Hospital, where doctors declared Nurul Alam dead. Nirab and Afzal were later referred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. Nirab died on the way to the hospital.

Mahipal Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Asadul Islam confirmed the matter and said legal procedures regarding the incident were underway.
