CHATTOGRAM, May 11, 2026 (BSS) – An Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) conducted a drive to prevent noise pollution in Satkania upazila of the district this morning.

Five bus drivers were fined during a mobile court drive in the Keranihat area of Satkania upazila.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Shamsuzzaman said a total of Tk 19,000 was fined on the drivers for using hydraulic horns.

During the drive, hydraulic horns were removed from the buses, and drivers and transport owners were warned against using banned horns in vehicles.
