GAIBANDHA, May 11, 2026 (BSS) - A motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident on the Gaibandha-Balashighat Road in Fulchhari upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Ershad Ali, 22, son of Ismail Ali of Uttar Kathur village in the upazila.

Police and locals said Ershad Ali was travelling to Balashighat from the district town. The accident occurred in the Madnerpara area on Sunday afternoon when a paddy-laden truck hit the motorcycle from behind, killing its rider on the spot.

Locals seized the truck after the incident.

Officer-in-Charge of Fulchhari Police Station Mozharul Islam confirmed the matter.
