TCB's product sales begins in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, May 11, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha, the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling products at subsidized prices from trucks in Rajshahi district and metropolitan area.

Starting Monday, general customers will be able to purchase edible oil, sugar, and lentils at subsidized rates from TCB's mobile trucks. This 10-day program will run until May 21. 

However, truck sales will remain closed on Fridays.

Three types of products can be purchased from a TCB truck. A consumer can buy a maximum of two liters of edible oil, one kg of sugar, and two kg of lentils.

 Among these, edible oil will be sold at Taka 130 per liter, sugar Taka at 80 per kg, and lentils Taka at 70 per kg. If all products are purchased together, a buyer has to spend Taka 480.
 
Atikur Rahman, Deputy Director of TCB's Rajshahi Regional Office said that products will be sold via truck at 15 locations daily in Rajshahi district and metropolitan area. 

Of these, sales will take place at 10 locations in the metropolitan area and in five upazilas. Each day, 6,000 families will be able to purchase these products, he added.
