RAJSHAHI, May 5, 2026 (BSS)- An awareness program titled “Food Safety and Hygiene Education Program” was successfully held today at the Masjid Mission Academy School & College premises in Rajshahi city.
The program was jointly organized by the Rajshahi City unit of Bangladesh Red Crescent and Food and Nutrition Facts (FNF).
At the event, Mirza Shamim Ahsan, Unit Level Officer of the Rajshahi City Red Crescent Unit, provided overall supervision and important guidance.
Representatives from Food and Nutrition Facts (FNF) who attended the program included: Founder and Chief Executive Officer Rakibul Islam, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Nazifa Tabassum and Research Coordinator Istiak Bin Islam.
The program saw spontaneous and lively participation from students. It featured detailed discussions on safe food consumption, hygienic food preparation methods, personal cleanliness, and the importance of safe water use.
In addition, various aspects of identifying food adulteration, preventing food-borne diseases, and building a healthy lifestyle were highlighted.
An important part of the event was the interactive discussion and question and answer session, where students actively participated and received answers to their questions.
This segment made the entire program more effective, engaging, and educational.
Organisers stated that such awareness initiatives will help foster a positive attitude toward food safety and hygiene among students and will play an important role in establishing safe food practices in society in the long term.
