The event has been organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension at Khamar Bari in the city under a project focused on strengthening nutrition and food security through agricultural development.

A total of 12 stalls have been set up at the fair, showcasing a wide range of agricultural innovations and practices. Visitors can also find seedlings of various native fruit trees, forest species, and medicinal plants.
Farmers from 10 upazilas across Barishal district are participating in the exhibition, presenting their locally grown vegetables and fruits.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Shirin emphasized the importance of technological advancement in agriculture. She said that such fairs play a vital role in educating both farmers and the general public about modern agricultural practices and the nutritional value of food.
“We envision a greener Bangladesh in the future, and initiatives like this will help us achieve that goal,” she said.
