CHATTOGRAM, May 4, 2026 (BSS) - A five-year-old girl drowned in a pond at Sheikh Para in Boalkhali upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased is Maisha, daughter of Md. Babul. 

Family members said Maisha drowned in the pond while taking bath around 9:30am. 

Later, she was recovered from the pond and taken to Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctor declared her dead.
