TANGAIL, May 4, 2026 (BSS) - Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Tangail highway early this morning.

The accident took place around 5:15 am at Rabna Bypass area when a truck heading toward Jamuna Bridge collided head-on with a pickup van, leaving two people dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Elenga Highway Police Outpost Mohammad Sharif confirmed the matter and said the identities of the deceased could not be immediately confirmed. 

Their bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue and will be handed over to their families after identification and completion of legal formalities.
