CHATTOGRAM, May 3, 2026 (BSS) – A listed criminal has been arrested from the New Market area in the port city.

The arrested, identified as Md Abdus Shukkur, 37, a resident of Udmara village in Raipur upazila of Lakshmipur district, is accused in several cases, including robbery and kidnapping.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police from Kotwali Police Station conducted a raid in the city’s New Market area on Saturday and arrested Shukkur.

He has been remanded for further proceedings.
