RAJSHAHI, May 2, 2026 (BSS) - Annual general meeting of the Paba Upazila Deed Writers’ Association was held with the goal of advancing the professional development of deed writers, protecting their rights, and making service activities more dynamic.
The meeting took place today at the association’s own shed. It reviewed the organization’s overall activities and discussed future plans.
The meeting was presided over by the association’s president, Anarul Islam Abu, and moderated by General Secretary Asaduzzaman Sabuj.
At the beginning of the meeting, last year’s activities, income-expenditure accounts, and various service initiatives were presented. Afterwards, based on members’ opinions, action plans for the coming days were determined.
Speakers at the meeting said that deed writers play a crucial role in land management. Therefore, alongside improving professional standards, increasing legal knowledge and adapting to modern services is essential.
They also said that the organization must become stronger and more united to ensure the legitimate rights of deed writers.
Emphasis was placed on undertaking various initiatives for the welfare of the association’s members.
Discussions covered providing support to sick and financially struggling members, strengthening professional security, and building skills among new members through training.
In addition, all were urged to play a responsible role in preventing irregularities and harassment in the provision of land-related services.
Present at the meeting were Senior Vice President Md. Mizanur Rahman, Vice President Md. Nurunnabi, Joint General Secretary Md. Aminul Haque, Treasurer Md. Abdul Alim, Organizing Secretary Md. Ahsan Habib Babu, Office Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain, among others.
The meeting concluded with a call for collective efforts toward the advancement of the organization and the welfare of its members.
