MANIKGANJ, May 1, 2026 (BSS) - The final match of the District Primary School Football Tournament was held today at the Manikganj Model High School playground.

In the final, Barahi Purbapara Government Primary School under Manikganj Sadar Upazila defeated Dashchira Government Primary School under Shibalaya Upazila by 2-1 goals to clinch the title.

The match drew a large number of spectators, including students, teachers and local sports enthusiasts.

Later, prizes were distributed among the winners at a closing ceremony.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Nazmul Hasan Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohorram Ali, Executive Engineer of the Power Department Giash Mahmud, District Primary Education Officer Gokul Deb Nath and District Sports Officer Ferdousy Akter, among others, were present at the event.
