RAJSHAHI, April 25, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said they are working relentlessly to ensure civic facilities.

This observation was made while conducting an on-site inspection and exchanging views to resolve problems at the Bulanpur area in the city on Friday afternoon.

Residents of the Bulonpur Goalpara area in the city have been suffering from prolonged waterlogging due to the absence of drains and cross drains.

During this time, he listened to residents' concerns and asked the relevant engineers to resolve the issues promptly.

He also provided necessary guidance for the development of the road on the embankment in the area and for beautifying the embankment.

Before the inspection, the RCC Administrator attended and spoke as the chief guest at an exchange-of-views meeting organized by the residents of Ward No. 4.

At the meeting, he said, "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken various steps to empower women. The distribution of Family Cards has already begun. I will request the Prime Minister to ensure that poor and eligible families of Rajshahi are provided with Family Cards in the next phase."

He further said, "I have come here to listen to your problems. After hearing the problems, they will be resolved in phases. The Community Development Committee (CDC) will be reorganized. Those who have been deprived for a long time will be brought under the CDC."

Meanwhile, RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton stood beside the landless people of Pabnapara in the Naodapara area. He visited Pabnapara in the Naodapara area last night.

During the visit, he inquired about the landless people and assured them of his support. The RCC Administrator also remarked that the attempt to evict the landless people from their long-standing homesteads with only four hours' notice was extremely unfortunate.

At that time, Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman said, "Rajshahi city is a peaceful city. All of us who live in Rajshahi are like one family. It would not be right to hurt any part of this family. I want to live peacefully with all citizens of Rajshahi."
