CHATTOGRAM, April 24, 2026 (BSS)- Imam Hafez Maulana Amirul Islam Farooqui, aged 45, died in a tragic bike accident on his way to home after Friday prayers in Mirsarai upazila this afternoon.
 
The incident took place around 3 pm on Friday in the Wireless area of Mirsarai on Dhaka-Chattogram highway. 

Amirul Islam Farooqui was the head of the Rahamtabad Faruqiya Hafezia Madrasa.
 
According to police, he was returning home by a bike after leading Friday prayers at a Jama Masjid in the Mehedinagar area of Bariyarhat in the upazila. He was hit by a car in the Wireless area killing him on the spot.
