JAMALPUR, March 20, 2026 (BSS) – Marking the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, a total of 55 main Eid congregations will be held across all seven upazilas of the district tomorrow.

According to the Islamic Foundation, 24 main Eid congregations will be held in Jamalpur Sadar upazila. The Eid congregation at Jamalpur Central Eidgah field, one of the main congregations in the town, will be held at 8:30 am, where Mufti Md Abdullah will conduct the Eid prayer.

The office said that in case of inclement weather, the main Eid Jamaat will be held at the Jamalpur Model Mosque in the town.

Besides, six main Eid congregations each will be held in Bakshiganj, Islampur and Sarishabari upazilas, while five will be held in Madarganj upazila and four each in Dewanganj and Melandah upazilas.

Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation Mohammad Ali Jinnah said imams for all the congregations have been selected.
