BAGERHAT, March 18, 2026 (BSS) – A prayer and iftar mahfil was held at Khanjahan Ali College ground of the district on Tuesday afternoon seeking eternal peace for the late former BNP Chairperson and three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and Arafat Rahman Koko.
 
Convener of the district BNP Engineer ATM Akram Hossain Talim presided over the function, while the newly appointed administrator of Bagerhat Zila Parishad Barrister Sheikh Mohammad Zakir Hossain was present as the chief guest. 
 
Former MP Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former secretary Mashiur Rahman, BNP leader Khan Monir Hossain, district BNP member secretary Muzaffar Rahman Alam, municipal BNP president Sheikh Shahed Ali Robi and general secretary Obaidul Islam Jewel, as well as leaders and activists of district BNP and its affiliates and affiliates, were present.
