CHATTOGRAM, Mar 13, 2026 (BSS)- Chattogram district administration provided food assistance to needy, helpless, and homeless individuals in the district.

The program took place at the Jamiatul Falah National Mosque after Friday prayers. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah organized the event, distributing food packets to approximately 250 people in need.

Each packet contained 10 kg rice, 1 kg local lentils, 1 kg iodized salt, 1 kg sugar, 1 liter edible oil, and other daily essentials.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of being kind and supportive to everyone in society, stating that living well in society requires collective effort.

He called on those in a position to support the vulnerable and impoverished individuals. This effort was initiated by the district administration to ensure that no needy person goes hungry during Eid.

Senior officials of the district administration were present.
