RCC provides scholarships to poor and meritorious students

RAJSHAHI, March 11, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has awarded scholarships to poor and meritorious students. 

On Wednesday, the scholarship cheques were handed over to the students at the office chamber of the Administrator at Nagar Bhaban by the Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi and Administrator of RCC, Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid.
 
Addressing the students, he said, "We are always beside you. Move forward to achieve your goals. I pray that you attain success at the national level in the future."
 
This year, Rajshahi City Corporation provided scholarships to a total of 157 poor and meritorious students, including 58 at the university level, 44 at the college level, 24 at the secondary level, and 31 at the primary level. 

Under the scholarship programme, selected students received Taka 10,000 at the university level, Taka 7,000 at the college level, Taka 5,000 at the high school level, and Taka 2,000 at the primary school level.
 
Among others present at the event were Rajshahi City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Secretary Sohel Rana, Executive Magistrate Nayan Kumar Saha, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun, Superintending Engineer Ahmed Al Moeen Parag, Chief Revenue Officer Abu Saleh Nur-e-Saeed, and other concerned officials.
