FARIDPUR, March 9, 2026 (BSS) - A minor girl was killed in a road accident in Shyamsunderpur area of the district town here this morning.

The deceased was identified as Maysa, 4, daughter of Mahfuz, a resident of the locality.

Police said Maysa, while playing near her home, suddenly ran onto the paved road in front of her house. Suddenly an unknown engine-driven van hit the girl, leaving her seriously injured. 

Family members rushed her to the Faridpur Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Additional superintendent of police (Sadar Circle) Azmir Hossain confirmed the matter.
