CHATTOGRAM, March 8, 2026 (BSS)-  Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) conducted an  operation titled on ‘S-drive’  in the city, resulting in the arrest of 38 individuals, including 18 snatchers, within the last 24 hours. 

The arrests were made in various parts of Chattogram city through operations carried out till Saturday noon. The drive is part of the ongoing Operation 'S-Drive', targeting individuals involved in various criminal acts.
 
Chattogram Metropolitan Police Senior Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Aminur Rashid said that 18 robbers, 4 drug peddlers, 6 gamblers, and 10 members of a juvenile gang have been arrested. 

Of these, 5 were arrested from Doublemooring police station area and 4 from Sadarghat, Akbarshah, and Karnaphuli police stations. Additionally, 3 robbers were arrested from Chandgaon police station area. 

A case has been filed against the arrested persons in respective police stations.
