NARAIL, March 8, 2026 (BSS) - A three-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed in a tragic road accident in Kalia upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Limon Molya, son of Ikramul Molya of Kaldanga village of the upazila.

The accident occurred around 11:00 am in Kaldanga area when Limon reportedly went out to play on the road near his home. At that time, a sand-laden truck ran over the child, leaving him critically injured.

Locals quickly rescued the injured child and rushed him to Narail Sadar Hospital. However, the doctor on duty declared him dead upon arrival.

Confirming the incident, Kalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Idris Ali said the body was handed over to the family after completing the necessary legal procedures.
