KHULNA, March 8, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) 
arrested an alleged drug dealer along with 7,390 pieces of Yaba tablets from 
Khalishpur area of Khulna city early today.

The arrested was identified as Sirajul Islam Sourav, a tenant of Abdul Salam 
at E-26 Housing Estate under Khalishpur Police Station.

According to a press release issued by RAB here, a team of the elite force 
conducted a drive in the E-26 Housing Estate around 2:20 am on Saturday 
following a tip-off.

During the drive, the team raided Sourav's bedroom on the rooftop floor of a 
four-storey building owned by Abdul Salam and recovered 7,390 pieces of 
contraband yaba tablets.

Later, a case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act.

Company Commander Major Md. Nazmul Islam said that drives against drugs would 
continue as part of efforts to eliminate narcotics from society.
