CHANDPUR, March 8, 2026 (BSS) - Kids Kingdom Park, a privately established
children's entertainment center, has become a popular recreation spot for
young visitors in the district.
Local authorities have also expressed support for the initiative, promising
assistance to help expand and improve the facility.
Chandpur district, with a population of around 2.5 million, has limited
dedicated entertainment options for children. Recognizing this gap, a group
of entrepreneurs established 'Kids Kingdom Park' on a small scale to provide
a safe and enjoyable place where children can spend their leisure time.
The park is located in a quiet environment on the eastern side of the
Chandpur-Raipur road, about six kilometers south of the district town.
Although visitor numbers are relatively low during the daytime, the park
becomes lively in the afternoon as children from the town and nearby areas
arrive with their families.
Kids Kingdom features several amusement rides and recreational facilities
designed for children. The park also maintains security measures, including
CCTV surveillance, to ensure a safe environment for young visitors. Visitors
can enjoy the park from the afternoon until around 8 pm and facilities such
as food stalls, sanitation services, and prayer arrangements are available
on-site.
The park sees its largest crowds during festivals and school holidays, when
families often visit to spend quality time together.
Seven-year-old Ahnaf and 12-year-old Asfi, who recently visited the park,
said they enjoyed the rides and activities available. However, they suggested
that the park could be even better if more rides were added and the area
expanded.
Happy Akhter, a mother, said that due to professional and family
responsibilities, many parents cannot always spend enough time with their
children. "Places like this allow children to enjoy themselves in a safe
environment," she said.
Other guardians also praised the park's security arrangements but said that
the space is relatively small. They expressed hope that the park could be
expanded so children would have more room to play and move freely.
Entrepreneur Md. Zillur Rahman said the idea for Kids Kingdom emerged after
he observed that Chandpur lacked dedicated entertainment centers specifically
for children. "There are many food shops and leisure spots, but none designed
mainly for children. That's why we took the initiative," he said.
Rahman added that the investment so far has been limited and that government
assistance would help the park continue operating and expand its facilities.
The land for the park is currently being used on a lease basis.
Welcoming the initiative, Chandpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SMN
Jamiul Hikma said the administration would support efforts to develop the
park into a more child-friendly recreational space. He also said nearby
educational institutions would be encouraged to organise visits so students
could enjoy leisure activities there.
Local residents hope that with further development and official support, Kids
Kingdom Park can grow into a larger and more modern entertainment destination
for children in Chandpur.
