RAJSHAHI, Mar 5, 2026 (BSS) - A man was killed after being run over by a bus in the Choddopai area of the city on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Masum Ahmed, 40, son of Haidar Ali from Muktarpur area under Charghat Upazila.

The accident occurred around 11:45 pm.

Later, he was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Sub-Inspector Md Akramuzzaman, in-charge of the police box at the hospital, confirmed the matter on Thursday morning.

The body has been kept at the hospital morgue following legal procedures, the SI added.
