LAKSHMIPUR, March 2, 2026 (BSS) - A youth was killed after being struck by a 
passenger bus in Abuler Goja area of Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rakib Hossain, 24, son of Md. Jahangir Alam of 
Shakchar area under Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred on the Lakshmipur-Majuchoudhurirhat road when a bus hit 
a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider Rakib dead on the spot.

Police rushed to the scene, recovered the body and sent it to Lakshmipur 
Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Md. Wahid Parvez confirmed the 
incident and said the bus involved in the accident has been seized.

However, the driver managed to flee the scene.
