KHULNA, Mar 1, 2026 (BSS) - The 'Indomitable Women Award 2025' was conferred on five outstanding women at the divisional level during a function held today at the Khulna District Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
The event was jointly organised by the Divisional Administration and the Department of Women Affairs. Divisional Commissioner Md. Mokhtar Ahmed attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the function, he said that all women of the country are indomitable in their own ways.
"Education is light and light is 'Noor'. Today's successful women are part of that light. The roles of both men and women in society are undeniable," he added, noting that women often overcome numerous obstacles to achieve success.
The DC said "Money or prizes are not the main issue; recognition is what truly matters. The awardees earned recognition not only for themselves but also for their families and society. Women's work should be evaluated not as women, but as human beings. Let them move forward in this way."
The programme, chaired by Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Sifat Mehnaz, was addressed by Additional DIG of Khulna Range Tofayel Ahmed and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bitan Kumar Mondal as special guests.
