DHAKA, Jan 9, 2025 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday arrested two 
drug dealers with 504 grams of heroin worth nearly Taka 50 lakh from 
Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.

The arrested were identified as Tasikul Islam, 55, and Jashim Uddin, 55.

Company Patrol Command-1 (CPC-1) unit of the RAB-5, during a drive on 
Thursday at Chapainawabganj Sadar thana area, arrested Tasikul and Jashim 
with 295 and 209 grams of heroin respectively, a press release of RAB Media 
Cell said here today.

According to the press release, Tasikul Islam was arrested near the Second 
Mahananda Bridge area at Char Islampur Village under Islampur Union and 
Jashim Uddin was arrested from Dhainagar village under Gobortoal Union and 
later handed over to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Thana for further legal 
proceedings.
