NATORE, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - Blankets were distributed among cold-stricken people in Gurudaspur upazila of the district today following special prayers seeking forgiveness for the soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The distribution programme was organized by the local Union Jubo Dal at Nazirpur High School ground around 11:00 am. A total of 850 helpless and cold-affected people received blankets during the event.

District Jubo Dal President A. Hai Talukder Dalim attended the programme as the chief guest. Upazila Jatiyatabadi Ulama Dal President Md. Rezaul Karim presided over the event.

Nazirpur Union Jubo Dal Convener Saleh Ahmed Bipul and Joint Convener Masud Tiger also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of standing beside disadvantaged people during the winter season
