Bagerhat DC visits polling stations

BAGERHAT, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate Golam Md Baten made an unscheduled visit to several polling stations in Kachua upazila to inspect election preparations on Tuesday afternoon.

During the visit, the DC, also the Returning Officer of Bagerhat-2 constituency, inspected polling stations at Pingaria Government Primary School, Bilkul Government Primary School, Jashordi Government Primary School, and Rasiklal Government Primary and Secondary School.

He reviewed overall security arrangements and the polling environment to ensure a smooth voting process in the Bagerhat Sadar-2 constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Golam Md Baten said all officials concerned must perform their duties with utmost impartiality and responsibility to ensure a free, fair and peaceful election.

He also provided necessary instructions regarding security of polling centres, uninterrupted exercise of voting rights by voters and timely completion of all election-related preparations.

Kachua Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md Ali Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Asif Haider, Officer-in-Charge of Kachua Police Station Md Shafiqul Islam and Acting Upazila Election Officer Nazma Khanam were present during the visit.
