KHULNA, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - A doa mahfil was held here on Tuesday evening seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-2 and former MP Nazrul Islam Manju addressed the programme as chief guest.

The programme was organised by Ward No. 23 BNP and its associate bodies at BKE School playground after Asr prayers, with Nasir Khan in the chair, while Maulana Jalal Uddin conducted the doa. 

Another doa mahfil and discussion meeting was held after Maghrib prayers at Ward No. 27 councillor's office, organised by Ward No. 24 BNP, with Shamser Ali Mintu presiding and Md Yunuch Ali conducting the doa.

Local BNP leaders and activists attended the programmes and prayed for eternal peace of the departed leader.
