JHIKARGACHA, Jashore, Jan 06, 2026 (BSS) - A doa Mahfil was held here today for the eternal peace of the departed soul of uncompromising leader, BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. 

The Jhikargacha Kancha Bazar Bebshayee Samity of Jhikargacha upazila organized the doa mahfil.  

Sabira Sultana, a member of the BNP's National Executive Committee and the BNP candidate for Jessore-2 (Chowgacha-Jhikargacha) constituency, was present at the doa mahfil.

Business community leaders, local BNP leaders and activists were present at the doa mahfil. They recalled Begum Khaleda Zia's outstanding contribution to establishing democracy, freedom and human rights in the country with deep respect and gratitude.

Besides, another doa mahfil held organized by the BNP Ganganandpur Union No. 1 in Jhikargacha upazila for the eternal peace of the departed soul of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. 

Sabira Sultana was present in the doa mahfil.

The leaders and activists attended the doa mahfil seeking eternal peace of the departed soul. 

They also remembered with deep respect and gratitude the unforgettable contribution of the uncompromising leader Begum Khaleda Zia in restoring the country's democracy and protecting the fundamental rights of the people.
