RANGPUR, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) – Like every year, this year too, the Bangladesh Army spread the warmth of winter clothes by distributing blankets to over 1,000 poor, needy and floating people in Rangpur this morning. 
 
General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division and Rangpur Area Commander Major General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan handed over high-quality blankets to 1,055 beneficiaries on the Rangpur Uttam School and College premises in the city. 
 
Initiated by the 66th Infantry Division, the warm cloth distribution ceremony was also attended by 72nd Brigade Commander Brigadier General AKM Azam Chowdhury, Principal of Uttam School and College Mohammad Ali and other army officials. 
 
Along with winter clothes, the physically challenged were also given financial assistance. 
 
After receiving the winter clothing and financial donations given as gifts in the severe winter, the beneficiaries expressed their sincere gratitude to the Bangladesh Army.
