MANIKGANJ, Jan 3, 2026 (BSS) - The National Social Service Day – 2026 was observed in Manikganj with the theme " Prozukti O Momotai, Kolyan O Somotai, Asthma Aaj Somajsebai" (Trust in Social Services thorough Technology and Compassion, Welfare and Equity).

The day was observed under the auspices of Manikganj District Administration and the Department of Social Service Manikganj District Office.

Marking the day, a discussion and distribution of Honour Crest was held at the Manikganj District Coordinated Building today.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manikganj Nazmun Ara Sultana was present in the function as the chief guest.

The function chaired by Deputy Director of Social Service Department Abdul Baten was addressed among others, by National Polytechnic Institute (NPI) Director Engineer Dr. Mohammad Faruque Hossain, Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, Assistant Director of Social Service Department Mohammad Rokon Uddin Bhuiya, Shahor Samaj Seba Officer Mehedi Masud, Social Service Officer (hospital)Niaz Morshed, Gono Kalyan Trust (GKT) Director Jahirul Islam, Manikganj Disabled People Organization for Development (MDPOD) Director Antaj Ali, Disabled Organizations representative Zahid Hossain.
