MYMENSINGH, Dec 20, 2021 (BSS) - Two people were killed and four others injured in a road accident in the Zero Point area adjacent to Nazrul University link road on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway under Trisha upazila of the district this afternoon.

   The identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

   The accident occurred when a Haluaghat-bound passenger bus hit a truck parked in the Zero Point area from behind and the bus overturned after colliding with an electric pole on the side of the road around 4.45pm, leaving two people, including bus driver and a passenger, dead on the spot and four others injured, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station Main Uddin.

  The injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

  Police and fire service personnel recovered the bodies from the spot, the OC added.
